Reo Distribution, an Allied Logistics company, recently received the highest honor of its 26-year history, being named national Logistics Broker of the Year by the National Association of Small Trucking Companies.
The Tennessee-based organization bestowed the honor on Reo at its annual conference in Nashville.
“We accept this award in honor of all the people at Reo and Allied Logistics and all the trucking companies and drivers who deliver freight nationwide every day,” said Reo President Reo B. Hatfield. “This is one of the highest honors we’ve ever received in 26 years in business,”
Hatfield and his wife, Roxann, traveled to the Sheraton Downtown conference center in Nashville, where NASTC President David Owen presented the award before a crowd of 250 people.
The association’s Best of the Best brokers award has been given annually since 2000 to the top brokers on an exclusive list.
Established in 1989, the NASTC links more than 3,500 small trucking companies who join the group by invitation only based on their records.
Among the association’s requirements, members must have strong credit; be a member of the Transportation Intermediaries Association, a third-party logistics trade group; and have transportation brokers Gold Book status.
“It truly is an honor to even be a member of the NASTC,” Hatfield said. “These companies are the cream of the crop in our industry.”
